International Medical School

The International Medical School (IMS) is situated in Malaysia. IMS is a unique regional collaborative effort between the Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia and the Gokula Education Foundation (Medical), Bengaluru. They have a Bengaluru campus offering off-shore programme for undergraduates in MBBS approved by Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).

The IMS-MSU has been associated with Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital from the year 2009.

The students who are predominantly Malaysians complete their pre-clinical years at the IMS-MSU campus, Bengaluru and are then sent to Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital for their Clinical years (3rd, 4th and 5th year of their MBBS programme). The clinical posting are designed to deliver various disciplines through comprehensive and continuing care for people presenting with any symptoms and signs or any health concerns. Faculty encourages scientific training to equip students acquire necessary skills and knowledge. Students are taught to evaluate patients by letting them review the clinical and laboratory data of patients. Students are guided with thorough knowledge and skills in ethics and community medicine modules. The clinical teaching module focuses on practical integration and application of knowledge and skill familiarising with the practice and delivery of health care in combination with importance to patient welfare and safety.

In the year 2009, 75 students were posted at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital. Owing to expanding facilities and the superior teaching of our faculty, the number has now increased to 130 students.

We are proud to say that 146 students have successfully graduated from our institution taking back with them the clinical knowledge, skills and ethics inculcated by our faculty, and are serving as the current generation of healers back in their country, Malaysia.
